May 22, 2023 - This day marks 42 years ago that I had the honor of becoming this beautiful baby girl's mama. I was young, immature and insecure when Nicole was born. I had so much to learn and she had so much to teach me. Her wild, free, and mischievous spirit taught me how to laugh and how to squeeze every bit of joy out of every single day.
Time is such a strange thing. No matter how much our heart breaks, time marches on. During the deepest pain, it is hard to imagine existing and surviving the years a head of us. However, day after day God scoops us up and carries us until we can walk. I'm so grateful for that.
It is hard to believe it's been 24 years since I've heard Nicole laugh or looked into her beautiful blue eyes, but today I'll smile, thinking about her, and look forward to Heaven where I'll see her again.
